Christmas is a time for tradition and family to share a special time together year after year.

As we celebrate with gifts, a meal and simply spending time with loved ones, it is no wonder that Christmas is a favourite time of year for many of us!

                       

Never Too Early To Start Celebrating

Decorating generally starts in most homes for Christmas on December 1, this could be externally with lights and nativity sets or internally with Christmas trees, gifts, lights, cards or Santa snow…this list is really endless. It is up to your imagination. Christmas Eve is a great time to organise a family meal and get together to catch up before Christmas Day, this allows for a less intense celebration all in the one day.

Invite your friends and family around for a simple dinner, drinks and some great stories or better yet get the board games out and pair up…this mixed with a few Christmas beverages can lead to a very fun evening.

Prepare In Advance

Don’t let yourself get behind in celebration organisation, it is easy to at Christmas time with so much on your to do list. Remember to plan early, buy along the way and organise a meal that is simple and easy to serve on the day without a lot of fuss from you in the kitchen…you want to be able to share the day with your loved ones, not slaving away in the kitchen.

Make New Traditions

Traditions are a great way to celebrate with family and to remember those that are no longer with us at this special time of year!

Continue to celebrate these traditions after all that is what celebrating with Family is all about. This year though…try and add a new tradition to your Christmas celebrations. It might be creating a new Christmas cocktail for your family to share, or a new menu item that suits perfectly with your favourite wine…whatever you choose to add, make it special and something that can be carried on for many years to come.
